This year’s COSMOS Technical Session focused on the practical application of updated code requirements for determining site-specific ground motions. The session brought together engineers, seismologists, and researchers to discuss how these procedures apply in practice, along with time for questions and open discussion.
As with other COSMOS Technical Sessions, the event combined invited presentations with opportunities for attendees to connect and share their own experience applying these methods. COSMOS is a non-profit organization whose goal is to expand and significantly modernize the acquisition and application of strong-motion data in order to increase public safety from earthquakes.
